Poor little Ryan is sick with a sinus infection once again. His pathetic little cough and proclamation, “I’m sick- cough-cough” is no joking matter…we need to get this little guy feeling better- any home remedies you can suggest? He has a sore throat, sinus pressure, stuffy nose, achy body and low fever.

Ok, I know it isn’t funny to joke about something as serious as the Swine Flu threatens to be, but Ryan e-mailed this to me earlier in the week and I thought it was pretty funny:

It seems we are at the age where a great deal of our friends and now even family member are having babies! I absolutely love getting the phone call informing me whether I should be shopping for a little girl or boy and recently I’ve been inspired to make little baby blankets. Today I even designed a cute little head scarf out of left over fabrics! This is the first time I’ve been able to dream up a project of my own and successfully complete it end to end with no help and even NO PATTERN!!! Honestly, it’s a very simple project and I shouldn’t be this excited BUT I AM!!! I did it!!! Not only did I do it, but this little scarf is the cutest darn thing I have ever seen. Unfortunately, I don’t have any baby girls at my disposal and so poor baby bear was subjected to modeling my latest projects.
I’ve tied this little scarf tight on baby bear, but trust me it should fit an infants little head…

Here is baby bear enjoying his stylish scarf and cozy blankey:

I’m so proud!

My friend Josh over at the Hula Grill recently turned 30. Unfortunately for him, his big day did not go as quietly as he had hoped. In honor of Josh’s official ascent to the top of the “hill” I decided to make him Saggy Butt cakes and bring them into work. For those of you who don’t know, Saggy Butt cakes are a cupcake replica of what happens to your butt once you hit 30… the cheeks begin to sag, the butt hair begins to gray and creep more and more out of your pants and of course you begin to notice increasingly more red pimples and dimples on your cheeks.
** If you want to duplicate these wonderful treats all you have to do is tint your frosting to a natural skin tone, buy some decorating frosting that has a nice tip so you can draw the cheeks and get creative with your decorating. I used coconut for the “butt hair” and red sprinkles for the “acne”.**
Love ‘ya Josh- Happy Birthday!
