Some work with Maui Land & Pineapple allowed us to spend a weekend in Maui with the parents. Twenty minute flight later… loved it! Maui is San Luis Obispo meets warm weather and tropical breezes. Lots of big open ag fields and undeveloped land, with lots of local artwork, music, and good grinds. The pictures speak for themselves (but we still can’t refrain from the sly comments… sorry Dobber).
Hard to believe an epic wave pumps through this cove in the winter…
Dolphins!!! Over twenty of them came into the cove and spooked the snorkelers!
Nice shades babe…
Think there’s any dog shit in that field? I’m guessing Dobber’s got a job on the islands after all.
Playing with the reflection of my killer $10 aviators…
Ho ‘okipa, where windsurfer and surfer can get along and share waves on the windiest of days
The view from Momma’s Fish House. Yummmmmy….
No joke, this parrot will come land on you if you walk down the beach. For some reason it didn’t like Heather so we never got a picture.
The pool was nice, but you should have seen the wall paper. Alghhhh… (that’s supposed to be sick feeling sound)
Damn right. And Waikiki knows how to do it right.
When the parents were out for their last trip, we managed to talk them into hiking up to Maunawili Falls with us. Slippery muddy slopes and choke mosquitos. The only thing that makes the hike worth it is the beautiful diving falls at the end. Here are some more photos for those that thought we photoshop’d ourselves into the scene (Dobber!!!):
Over a month since our last post, but we’ve definitely been keeping busy. Lots of posts to come in the next few days!
